ABOUT THE PROJECT

​Rockyview play were honored to be selected for the design and build of the Art and Indigenous Playscape project in a featured central area of downtown Okotoks.

Rockyview Play engaged with Indigenous Elders and designers to create a special , representative area of Indigenous learning with an information circle and also created Art Peace Poles made from of Fir wood reclaimed from the Towns stock from an old, reclaimed Mill from the 1800’s.

The feature play item was a custom design Bison with artistic colors which provides for children’s play and represents the historical Indigenous story of the Bison and Okotoks Big Rock.
