ABOUT THE PROJECT
The City and Kiwanis Group engaged Bienenstock Natural Playgrounds to create a design for the park over a few years of consultation with stakeholders. Our team were fortunate to be awarded the installation of the whole site including full project management, working with Bienenstock, and sourcing local materials to supplement the play area and surrounding site. The play equipment was made from real oak and cedar and some of the surrounding benches were custom carved with animal features from naturally fallen Cottonwood trees from the park. RVP custom sourced a large boulder to look like a whale head shape to honor the old Whales slide in the park made in the 1960’s.
